Grassroots Program Leadership

Greater Sudbury Soccer Club’s Grassroots programming is overseen by Technical Director, Giuseppe Politi, who is responsible for supporting the delivery, development, and ongoing growth of the Club’s Grassroots environment in alignment with Canada Soccer and Ontario Soccer Long-Term Player Development (LTPD) principles.

The Grassroots Program focuses on creating safe, inclusive, engaging, and developmentally appropriate environments where young players can build confidence, physical literacy, technical foundations, and a lifelong love for the game.

Under the direction of the Technical Director, GSSC Grassroots programming supports:

• FUNdamentals
• Learn to Train stages of development
• Player-centred coaching environments
• Coach mentorship and support
• Positive participation experiences
• Safe Sport and inclusive practices
• Age-appropriate curriculum and session design

GSSC is committed to ensuring all Grassroots participants are provided with meaningful opportunities to develop both as players and individuals within a welcoming and supportive soccer environment.
